  • Business Information: proposed business name, purpose, structure, members, ownership.
  • Sensitive Information: SSN or ITIN, used solely for IRS EIN filings.
  • Documents: driver's license, formation documents, EIN letters, operating agreements.
  • Mail & Address: mail received at our Detroit virtual address on your behalf.

2. How We Use Information

  • To deliver the Services you purchased (filings, EIN, registered agent, virtual address).
  • To communicate with you about your account, invoices, and compliance reminders.
  • To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.

3. How We Protect Information

Data is stored in secure, access-controlled systems. Sensitive fields (SSN/ITIN) are not displayed back in our interfaces and are used only for the intended filing. Uploaded documents are stored in a private, role-restricted bucket.

4. Sharing

We share information only with: (a) government agencies required to complete your filings (e.g., state of formation, IRS), (b) payment processors, and (c) service providers under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Mail Handling & Virtual Address

If you use our virtual address, we may open, scan, forward, or shred mail according to your preferences and applicable law. USPS Form 1583 and identity verification may be required.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@dscottingham.com. Some information must be retained to satisfy legal obligations.
